Amit Rajan

Head of Engineering, building agentic AI for enterprise document processing. Machine learning engineer and data scientist by background.

Welcome. I’m Amit Rajan.

Currently, I’m Head of Engineering, leading the build of an agentic AI platform that reads, understands and validates documents at enterprise scale—teams of AI agents doing work that once took whole back offices.

My perspective is built on years of getting my hands dirty—from training machine learning models and analyzing data to building user interfaces from scratch. Because of that background, I care as much about the elegance of a system’s underlying architecture as I do about the screen a person uses.

I built this space as an open notebook. A large part of it is dedicated to chapter notes on books that fundamentally shaped how I think about AI and math—principally Bishop’s Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning, Gilbert Strang’s Linear Algebra, ISLR, and Think Stats.

I’m also drafting a book aimed at making machine learning accessible to curious readers who don’t necessarily think in equations. I publish those sections here first, along with notes on whatever else I’m currently reading.
